Some argue that this game mode is noob-friendly and takes away Dark Age side of the game which many civs gets benefited from. Unfortunately there isn't much tournaments going on for this game mode. You can get into action more quickly than standard random map games. This game mode is very similar to Starcraft. Personally I think this game mode is interesting and very underrated.
